For decades, cruise lines have offered their passengers special programs to enrich their cruise experience. The terms will vary by cruise line, position, cruise length, and past performance on other cruises. For example, during a 7 night cruise a lecturer usually delivers three to four one hour presentations during the “at sea-time,” of the voyage. This allows the lecturer and their guests to have free time to enjoy the various ports of call on the itinerary. On some port intensive cruises, enrichment programs may be requested in the late afternoon on port days or when the cruise ship has a late arrival or early departure.
